Informasjon fra Heller:
"ROC AMADOUR" was built in 1973 by the "Ateliers and Chantiers de
la Manche" in Dieppe, and armed in Lorient (LO 193680) by Armament Avry Frères. At the time designed and equipped for the most modern high-sea fishing techniques, with pelagic shovels allowing it to maneuver at great depth, she is classified in the category of fishing trawlers "everything at the rear". On 20 December 1980, sold to a Faroe Islands armament, Strenda Trolarafelag, "Roc Amadour" leaves Lorient for Strendur, its new homeport.
For 5 years she fishes deep-sea fish around the Faroe Islands: mullet, blue sling, halibut, etc. In 1986, she underwent a major overhaul in Norway, to be equipped with more modern equipment. At the end of 1992, following a machine failure, she was disarmed and almost abandoned. BOÐASTEINUR, whose home port is Fuglafjord (Fuglafjørður), buys it in the spring of 1994 and baptizes it with the name of the company.

From 1994, "BOÐASTEINUR" mainly fishes on the Medio-Atlantic ridge, and its tides last on average 15 days. During the beautiful season she sometimes goes to the Irminger Sea, off Greenland, and in the Barents Sea. She is fishing around the Faroe Islands, but she is best known for being the only trawler of the islands to work in international waters. The biggest catch was 245 tons of beryl in 4 days. The fish was sold for 3.1 million FF in February 1998, and this is probably the largest amount ever in the Faroe Islands for a shipment of fresh fish.

In 2000, "BOÐASTEINUR" is renamed "PATRICIA IX" by the same owner and fishing under Polish colors.
Finally she is sold in 2001 to Moyggjatugva armament for which she takes back the name

"ROC AMADOUR", registered TG 340, with Vágur homeport.
Sold to "Fornaes Ship Recycling" in March 2010, "ROC AMADOUR" takes the path to Grenå and deconstruction.
